Meet April

My Journey

Hello,

My name is April and I am a registered nurse. I completed my bachelor of nursing in science back in 2019. I currently am the IV nutrition nurse here at Discovery Healthy Healing Center. My passion is to help others live the best life possible through healthy living. I worked in traditional medicine for many years treating sick patients, giving medication after medication, and not being present with patients due to time constraints. Here at Discovery Health Healing Center our providers, give patients the tools, guidance, and education needed to prevent, reverse, and really find the root cause of patients diseases and illnesses. I now feel I am able to give patients the time and education they need to start living a healthier happier life. I am proud to be part of the team.

I have experience in Homecare, Urology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, ICU, PICU, IMCU, Cardiac ICU, ER, Same Day Surgery, and PACU.

Meet My Family

I started my career in the Healthcare field as a direct care professional working in homecare. I graduated Lakeshore Technical College in 2008 with presidential honors and the academic excellence award in the Medical Assistant and EMT program. I worked many years in the clinic setting and then went on to become a registered nurse. I graduated in 2017 with honors from Lakeshore Technical College and went on to recieve my Bachelors degree in 2019 from Grand Canyon University. I just recently recieved certification in IV nutrition. I love learning new things and am always looking to expand my knowledge and education.

When I am not at work doing what I love, I go home to my wonderful family and our little hobby farm filled with goats, ducks, hens, bunnies, and Jango the donkey coming in August. We love to stay busy doing projects around the house and traveling to different states. I love painting, going up north to our cabin, gardening, moose adventures, and spending time with family.
